This photo was among those belonging to Laurie Baker. It's a Kodak photo postcard from Vice Regal Studios at Grafton, NSW. Apparently Kodak postcards didn't appear in Australia until about 1907. Laurie's youngest sister Joyce was born in 1909 which would match the age of the photo but I can't see any resemblance to Joyce in her later photos. None of the other siblings' dates of birth fit with the postcard style photo. The photo could be of a relative or friend but has been tagged "Baker family" for the moment. More research is needed.
This photo might be Jane Vine (nee Ireland) (1841-1905)
It was taken by the same photographer and possibly at the same time as that of Maria Hay (nee Hopper or Hazelwood). Maria died in 1880 and had granchildren living in Sydney. Jane Vine (nee Ireland) was born in 1841 and was one of the grandchildren in Sydney. The photo is labelled ""Janeie Mum's Aunt". Jane Ireland was our great grandmother's aunt and as the photos belonged to our grandmother. There is another photo labelled "Auntie Jane, Mum's Aunt" but they don't appear to be the same ladies. The origin of the handwriting on the labels needs to be determined as well.
This photo was probably taken in the 1870s.
I think this photo is associated with the Winduss family but can't identify anyone for sure.
Possibly Albert Gleadow Winduss is standing at the left second row. From other family photos George Charles Winduss looks a little like the gentleman sitting behind the dog wearing a hat.
This photo was probably taken in the 1890s or early 1900s.
